A Böttger silver-gilt mounted chinoiserie baluster coffee-pot and a domed cover Circa 1725, gilder's 69. , the Augsburg mounts with maker's mark of Elias Adam With a short curved spout and scroll handle, painted by J.G. Höroldt with two Orientals embracing beneath a parasol and flanked by a crane and a table with vases, and with an Oriental kneeling in prayer before a sacrificial altar and an attendant with a tray of flasks, within gilt and lobed Böttger lustre panelled cartouches with iron-red scrolling foliage, and with loose bouquets of indianische Blumen beneath a gilt interlocking scrollwork border, the domed cover decorated at Augsburg with a trailing flowering branch (very slight grazing to tip of spout, very slight flaking and minute areas of slight rubbing to gilding) 8.5/8 in.
