A Böttger silver-gilt mounted goldchinesen hot-milk jug and cover Circa 1725, the mounts with stamped EA for Elias Adam and with Augsburg town mark Of pear shape with gilt scroll handle and pointed spout, gilt at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop with dancing Orientals and two figures playing musical instruments among palm-trees on a terrace below a dragon in flight and with a dignitary and his servant holding a parasol before a seated Oriental at a table, flanked by trees on a terrace below a dragon in flight between moulded gadrooning alternately gilt with scrolls, bands and dots, the domed cover with similar gadrooning within gilt scrolls and with gilt oviform finial (some rubbing to handle, slight rubbing to spout, finial, top rim and footrim) 7 7/8in. (20cm.) high
