A GERMAN SMALL-SWORD with slender blade inscribed within the central fuller on each face at the forte, and brass hilt spirally fluted throughout and with traces of gilding, mid-18th Century; another, the slender blade of hollow-triangular section etched, blued and gilt at the forte, and steel hilt, including the grip partly faceted, and with gilt-brass appliqués (two missing) cast and pierced with laurel swags framing trophies, late 18th Century; and another, with slender blade inscribed within the central fuller on each face at the forte, and faceted steel hilt in neo-Classical style (shell-guard missing), late 18th Century The first 29½in. blade (3)
