Half-titles, wood-engraved titles, engraved dedications, and 104 hand-coloured aquatint plates by Buck, Stadler and others after Thomas Rowlandson and Pugin. Uncut. Publisher's notice on the verso of the contents leaf in vol. III is in 8 lines. (Browning in text leaves, off-setting.) Contemporary half red roan, flat spine gilt, vol. III with different tooling (somewhat worn). Provenance : William Danby (1752-1833, of Swinton Park, Yorks.; armorial bookplate).

The original owner, William Danby, rebuilt Swinton Park from designs by James Wyatt and John Foss of Richmond and amassed a rich library there.
