Biblia ad vetustissima exemplaria nunc recens castigata , Venice: heirs of Nicolas Bevilaque & socios., 1576. 2°, title within woodcut border and with woodcut vignette of St. Jerome, repeated on *4 (preface), numerous woodcut illustrations after Hans Holbein Bernard Salomon and Pierre Eskrich historiated initials, woodcut headpieces (verso of inner, upper and outer margin of title strengthened, ?lacking the final blank, outer margin of X4 with small repair, inner hinge broken but cords still holding firmly, a few leaves lightly browned, occasional light marginal waterstaining, lightly spotted, a few small stains), later calf-backed boards (head of spine damaged, lightly worn). BM STC Italian p. 92. With the New Testament only of a Polyglott Bible Vetus testamentum multiplici lingua (n.p., 10 January 1514, volume V only, in Latin and Greek, incomplete). (2)
