Marcel Duchamp À L’Infinitif (The White Box) 1967 Screenprint on vinyl mounted to Plexiglas (as issued) with 79 facsimile notes, contained in seven black paper folders, 33 x 28.5 x 4 cm (12 7/8 x 11 1/4 x 1 5/8 in.) incise signed, dated '1966' and numbered 101/150 on the Plexiglas, also signed in black ink on the title page, published by Cordier & Ekstrom, New York, the facsimiles contained in the original linen-covered portfolio with printed title on the front.
Literature Arturo Schwarz 637 Catalogue Essay In 1964, Duchamp recovered a group of 79 unpublished notes (dating from 1914-23) concerning the Large Glass that had been excluded from his original selection of notes for the Green Box, 1934. As most of the notes were written in the infinitive, he titled this publication A l'Infinitif. Jacqueline Matisse Monnier and the Association Marcel Duchamp have confirmed the authenticity of this artwork and will issue a certificate to the buyer. Read More
