It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, V8 powered coupé and Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilised a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looked like, on paper, as modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena, followed later by the 360 Spider and finally, as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale. Presented in Giallo Modena Yellow with contrasting black leather trim, this is a sought after incredibly low mileage example. A desirable F1, left hand drive example first registered in 2002 to a businessman in Japan, but imported to the UK in March 2003 to it’s current UK owner requiring repairs which were carried out since by Ferrari specialists 355 international. The 3586cc engine fires up immediately and sounds evocative. We are advised it drives well as every Ferrari does with no known faults. The odometer equates to an incredible 4,500 miles from new and this 360 is supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate. A very attractive motorcar and, what can be considered, one of the ultimate driving Ferraris.
