6,262cc DOHC 48-Valve V12 Engine Electronic Fuel Injection 680bhp at 8,000rpm 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission 4-Wheel Independent Suspension - AWD 4-Wheel Carbon Ceramic Disc Brakes *One-of-a-kind Tailor Made GTC4 Lusso 70th Anniversary Edition *Ferrari Tailor Made tribute to the iconic 1980 Ferrari 308 GTB from Magnum PI *Comes with factory luggage and an official Ferrari Classiche certification *Less than 700 miles from new THE GTC4 LUSSO 70th ANNIVERSARY The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso turns all nonsense on its head. For this is a wagoned all-wheel-drive Ferrari that is truly, deeply desirable. Just as well, because appending the Lusso name to the FF's successor invites comparison with what is still widely regarded as one of the most beautiful road-going Ferrari of all time - the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso from the early 1960s. But it's semantics, nothing more. "Lusso" means luxury in Italian, and the term is used on this Ferrari in a purely literal context. GTC4 Lusso describes, simply, a luxurious Gran Turismo Coupe whose engine drives all four wheels. The GTC4 Lusso is built around the same basic hardware as the FF, though virtually every component has been upgraded or improved. The big change over the FF is the integration of active four-wheel steering, a first on a Ferrari GT. Developed from the setup first seen on the track-rat F12tdf, the GTC4 Lusso's system does all the usual rear-steer tricks to enhance stability and agility, plus what Ferrari calls thrust-vectoring control, the ability to turn only the inside rear into the corner to further improve chassis response under certain conditions. In 2018, Ferrari decided to launch its "70 Anni Collection" celebrating the 70th anniversary of the manufacturer. For that occasion, Ferrari decided to put their "Tailor Made" service to work, creating 70 different liveries based on historic Icons from the brand and apply them on 5 models – the GTC4Lusso, F12berlinetta, 488 GTB, 488 Spider and California T. The program effectively created 350 one-off cars, 70 per models. Bonhams is delighted to offer one of them, the 1980 Ferrari 308 GTS from Magnum PI re-birth through the GTC4 Lusso. THE MOTORCAR OFFERED The car was purchased new from Passion Rossa Ferrari of Beverly Hills and stayed in sunny Los Angeles since then. Showing under 700 miles from new, the car is being offered today in a superb condition. Based on the Iconic 308 GTS driven by Tom Selleck in Magnum PI, that 'Type F151M' wears a metallic Rosso Corsa paint along with Nero DS 1250 on the roof and wing mirrors as well as carbon fiber trims with matt finish. As a recall from Magnum PI' 308, the camel Goldrake seats received an upside-down stitching while the rest of the interior is made of black leather and the richer Camoscio leather with finer grains. This GTC4 Lusso notably comes with the two-factory carry-on luggage, as well as the official Ferrari "70 Anni Collection" booklet and a model car.
