Granada, 20 December 1713. 300 X 207 mm., 88 leaves. 32 lines, ruled in red with 2 vertical and 33 horizontal lines. 4 FULL-PAGE ILLUMINATIONS showing the De Bruna family kneeling before the Virgin Mary, a young man on horseback, the family coat of arms, and a genealogical tree; 67 ILLUMINATED INITIALS, a notary's endorsement in the lower margin of each folio. Contemporary red velvet, with original pendant lead seal attached on vary colored braided cord, 8 slik ties (two vanished, a few torn, rubbing to spine and corners). The manuscript details the ancestry of Garcia Lopez, including one forebear, Doctor Don Pedro de Nieba, who acted as an official of the Inquisition in Granada, and later in Cartagena and Mexico.
