In-16° (9,5 x 6,5 cm) : 221 lvs (small marginal cuts without loss, some borders slightly cropped, light stains on some painted borders, all full-page miniatures lacking). Modern binding in red velvet, gilt edges. RARE MINIATURE ILLUMINATED PRAYER BOOK from Bruges for the English export market. Text (5,7 x 3,7 cm) : 16 lines, ruled in light pink, Gothic script, rubricated, small initials in foliate gold, red or blue with blue or red pen flourishing. Calendar for the use of England including several saints from Canterbury (ff. 1-12) : King Edward (5 January), Wulfstan of Worcester (19 January), Cuthbert of Lindisfarne (21 March), Richard of Chichester (3 April), Alphege of Canterbury (23 April), Aldhelm of Malmesbury (25 May), Dunstan of Canterbury (19 May), Augustine of Canterbury (26 May), King Edward (18 June), Saint Thomas of Canterbury (7 July), Saint Edmund Rich of Abingdon/ Canterbury (16 November), King Edmund (20 November), Saint Thomas Becket of Canterbury (28 December).
