Folio, old half vellum, margins and upper spine end worn; lacks 8 leaves (A2, B2, B3, II1-II4, R4 blank), marginal dampstaining and repairs at end. Second edition, the text reset from the first edition of 1570 with new woodcuts for the initials but with the titles and illustrations printed from the original plates. Adams P-101; Fowler 213; Cicognara 595; see Berlin Kat. 2592 (first edition). Sold not subject to return.
